Welcome to Flourish Fostering

Flourish is an independent foster care organisation run by proven experts, that trains and supervises the very best quality foster families. We provide a safe, therapeutic environment in which children and young people can feel safe and flourish in their social, emotional and educational development.

Overarching Commitment

Our overarching commitment to attaining the best possible outcomes for young people is reflected in the excellent stability rates of the children in our foster families, and the exceptional educational outcomes achieved. 

Learning as a Foster Parent

Our Foster Parents speak highly about how they are part of the Flourish ‘fostering family’ where the skills they learn, both before and whilst being a Foster Parent with Flourish, are skills they can use throughout their personal and professional lives.

The original founders of Flourish Fostering have accumulated impeccable reputations in the fields of fostering, social work, professional therapeutic disciplines, education and specialist childcare services. Our mission, to which our whole team is dedicated, is to provide professional therapeutic fostering services which set the impressive standard in achieving quality outcomes for each child and young person we care for.

Our Services

Flourish Fostering provides a wide range of the highest quality therapeutic services that allow traumatised children to flourish in their social, emotional and educational development. 

We aim to find inventive ways to bring improved outcomes to those who may have had limited opportunities in life so far and to provide these in a creative and cost-effective way whilst meeting the individual needs of young people.

Our Values

We’re often asked, “what makes Flourish different to other fostering organisations?” There are many reasons why Flourish Fostering could be the best organisation for you to join or work with, and our values explain what sets us apart. 

Our vision is to help children and young people who have been significantly harmed, who have experienced the trauma of abuse, neglect, and/or multiple family placement breakdowns to recover from their early experiences and thrive in a safe and trauma-informed environment.

At Flourish, we recognise that it’s important to nurture a warm but professional relationship with Foster Parents and create an environment in which high support and high challenge can be tolerated. 

We achieve this by providing structured processes for Social Worker and Foster Parent supervision. We take pride in best practice and investment in the training and professional development of Foster Parents and staff.

Transforming Children’s and Young People’s Lives

When you join Flourish you become part of our fostering family – a supportive, friendly community where our Foster Parents are the heart and soul of the organisation.

As a Foster Parent, you are responsible for the care of children and young people who have had limited opportunities in life. Our Foster Parents ensure that young people’s physical, emotional and nutritional needs are met, that they attend school, college or playgroup, and that their physical and mental health needs are being addressed. 

Our way of working means that our Foster Families and staff can flourish within a safe working environment too.

Inspection Results

Ofsted is the Government department responsible for inspecting a range of educational institutions and care provisions, including schools, creches, educational facilities and fostering organisations.

Our latest Full Inspection Report (June 2021) found that the overall experiences and progress of children and young people is outstanding.
