Transfer to us

Changing foster care providers can often be daunting. The main priority during any potential transfer is the welfare of the child.

Some Foster Parents feel anxious to move to another fostering organisation as they are concerned that the foster children they have living with them, may be removed from them if they choose to leave the agency. This goes against Flourish’s transferring protocol which sets a clear principle that Foster Parents have the right to freedom of movement between fostering organisations.

Flourish is a specialist therapeutic fostering organisation with high quality training and excellent support to guide everything we do.

As a Foster Parent, you go above and beyond for the children and young people in your care, so you deserve to feel valued and supported in your role and for the outstanding contribution you make. You also have a wealth of skills and experience that we would welcome at Flourish Fostering.

At Flourish Fostering, we work closely with numerous local authorities, building long term relationships and through the high quality of our service, have built our reputation so local authorities choose to work with us.

Our Foster Parents don’t have to wait for long periods of time in between referrals unless they wish to take a break or the foster family have very specific matching considerations which they are prepared to wait for.

We understand what your concerns may be and our experienced staff are on hand to talk to you about how we will support you, your family and any children placed with you, through the process.

It’s important to remember however that we only consider applications from Foster Parents who match our values and ambitions of looking after children and young people to a very high standard.
