On its 5-year anniversary of becoming Ofsted-approved, the fostering service is recognised for its significant positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
Flourish Fostering is proud to announce that its team in the South has been rated ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection in March 2025. Ofsted’s report highlights the organisation’s exceptional support for foster families and its therapeutic model, which “permeates every element of practice and firmly underpins the culture.” This recognition comes at a time when the UK faces a massive shortage of foster parents, with over 6,500 more needed nationwide to meet current demand. (The Fostering Network, 2024)
The report praised Flourish Fostering highly, mentioning that “children are thriving because of the love, stability and guidance they receive from experienced and well-informed foster carers.” They also mention that “Children benefit from direct therapeutic work, which improves their outcomes and sense of well-being”.
Siobhan Irving, CEO at Flourish Fostering, said:
“We are delighted with the outcome of our Ofsted inspection. The hard work, passion, and dedication of our entire team, including our incredible foster parents, have been fairly reflected in this result. It couldn’t have happened at a better time, as we celebrate our 5th anniversary”
